Amalgamation

The Amalgamation does not have members as such, they gather interested parties, arrange transport via them to central race points. They also arrange sponsorship where possible.
The idea behind an Amal is to increase the amount of birds, increase competition and hopefully reduce costs to the longer races.

Fees

You do not incur fees by having an AMAL.

Shipping is calculated by who every transports the birds.

Results

The race results are calculated at Club, Fed level then moved on to the AMAL Secretary who collates them and produces a final result.

This means you still get your Club and Fed result, plus an Amal result.

Participation

The Elite Club in conjunction with the Amal, Dundee & Angus Feds has opened up a new challenge for the fanciers in the North of Scotland with Prizes and Pools never been seen before. proving there is a need for this type of competition and introducing the availability for the public to compete in our sport. We also introduce the idea of guest members who do not pay a club fee, paying only Shipping costs, Challenge and Pools if entered.

Prizes and Pools are paid out in full.

Challenge birds were £20 per bird. Reduced for 2026 to £10 per bird with no limitations.

Pools were £15.50 fully pooled and paid out @ 20/1. This pay out ratio will change for 2026 season to 10/1. Pools will still be £15.50 fully pooled.

The pool are: 50p. £1. £2. £3. £4. £5.

There is also a Gold Ring Scheme from Darlington with the YBs.

The cost per ring is £10 with no limit, the must be raced by a Fancier in the North Section. (North section as defined by the SNFC)
