The Federation are fund raising to help with cost of a new Chassis Crew Cab. It is planned to be purchased and road worthy for late 2026. Ready for the 2027 season.

How this idea came to light and what happened from a conversation.
The idea was first brought up by Gordon Stewart early 2025. (May)
The 6 Bird Kit was J Coutts idea.
Re-introducing the Bonus Ball was S Taylors idea.
W Duguid’s idea for a BB for beef although at first rejected will be spiced up and hopefully it will be directed at the ladies. Why not, they put up with us, so let’s give them something nice to go for.
The Gold Ring Open Race was S Taylor’s idea.
The Go Fund me was I McKay’s idea.
The Gold Rings for the Fed (100%) was J Coutts’ idea.

We have a fancier offering to do a sponsored 65k run –YES 65k so if he can arrange it, he will need sponsors. (James William Whyte)
We have 3 members looking for a sponsor something which has not been thought of before.

As you can see from Gordon Stewart’s questioning me on why can we not get funding and planting the seed, we now have a plan up and running to achieve his goal of a new transporter for the Fed by late 2026, up and running for 2027.
Every Funding idea tried to date has been a SUCCESS so we are off to a flying start.

At the AGM all the officials donated all or part of their honorarium to the Transport fund. The garaging was also returned to support the fund and this set the ball in motion for everyone to assist in the funding project in any way possible. Total £560
On Monday after the AGM G Carrol surprised W Davidson with a cash donation of £100 which has since risen to £700 by various other very generous members.
W Davidson has football cards which have been distributed to members to raise funds. They are available via Willie or your club sec. If every member sells one card it will generate over £1,000. Total to Date £510
Willie Davidson will run Bonus Balls throughout the year mainly for Pigeon food via A Melvin with a cash alternative if required. Total to date £580
I have also set up a Go Fund me page asking for donations to our project of a new transporter. Total raised to date £700

The January project was the 6 bird kit sale of birds which raised £2.560
The Feb /March fund raising project will be a 2 bird sale with birds donated by some very generous fanciers who are fully supporting our plan and some are out with our Federation. Total raised £500

The need to raise more funds to fulfil our intention of purchasing a new transporter for 2027 brings the B/B to the fore as in the past it has not been well supported and we would like to put forward to all members a request to support the sale by donating and/or buying a bird. If you feel for any reason you cannot donate a bird, we would like you donate £20 to help with this project for a new transporter. Your £20 can be paid to your club sec or straight to the Fed Transport account:

The September 2026 fund raiser is being done by J W Whyte. James is undertaking the huge task of running 65k from our friend’s Stuart and Ruth Maskame’s pigeon loft in Peterhead to the Sunnybank club in Aberdeen. This is to raise much needed Funds for the club to buy a new pigeon transporter. We spend a lot of time racing, training and caring for our pigeons, and would like to help the club out by completing this epic run!
This run is also raising funds for Rubislaw ward at the ARI. A dedicated baby loss ward for the north east. Sadly James had to spend time there 4 years ago, where they lost their baby at 17 weeks. The care and compassion was so touching and understanding. The total fund will be split 50/50.
