FAQs
Do I need to join Elite Club to race?
No, we can offer pigeon racing with the Aberdeen Federation without being a member. We also offer Amal racing without being a member.
You do not need to have pigeons. You can visit us and learn how we run a club, we have computers used by the Sec to work out the result. Any help would be welcome, you could find a partner who would be willing to work with you.
We have races where you can, for a small fee, have a pigeon racing for you to someone’s loft and compete for prizes on a particular day.
You could have a pigeon/s in a race for a small fee racing to someone’s loft and compete for Prizes and, if wished, donate any prizes won to a charity of your choice giving you the opportunity to enjoy pigeon racing without a loft.
You will obviously need to cover all shipping and transport costs as we all have to do.
How do I join Elite Club?
New people to the sport.
If you are thinking about having or learning how to keep pigeons, please visit us to get an insight to what you may need to get started. Advice and help is in abundance and free, if you would like to think about keeping the poor mans race horse. I will warn you it is infectious and addictive once you start.
First contact is the Sec who will advise you how to go about starting up. You will be invited to visit the club and meet members to see how we operate.

Are you interested in racing pigeons but not sure how to go about it. Would you like to see a pigeon loft. Handle some or just look at the babies, I can arrange it for you. Come see them fly or come with me to let them go at Stonehaven and see them come home. Racing is from April to September. On race day, normally Saturday you could see them come home from a race. Not sure, give it a try.
